Webinar Asbestos in Soil - The Fluidized Bed Asbestos Segregator
Overview

Soil is a problem matrix for asbestos analysis. This presentation will provide an overview of the challenges as well as analytical options to address those challenges.  One of the newest and exciting new techniques for asbestos analysis of soil is the Fluidized Bed Asbestos Segregator (FBAS).  Rather than attempting to determine the asbestos percentage of asbestos in soil, it measures the amount of releasable/respirable asbestos from a soil sample.  This quantitative metric is more useful when performing risk assessments.  This technique and others will be discussed.
