New York Accredited Lab

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Carle Place, New York laboratory has added another accreditation through the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). Under the AIHA accreditation program, EMSL is in compliance with International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 policies and procedures along with offering high-quality testing services to clients and future customers.

EMSL’s Carle Place laboratory earned its AIHA-LAP, LLC accreditation for environmental microbiology (Laboratory ID: 102344). Through AIHA EMLAP, EMSL is certified for fungal testing in air (Method TP-05.003.7), bulk (EMSL M041) and surface (EMSL M041). EMSL can provide analysis for airborne fungal spores, hyphal fragments, pollen, insect fragments, skin fragments, fibrous particulate by optical microscopy of spore trap samples and fibrous material from surface samples. Carle Place is an AIHA approved laboratory for environmental lead and industrial hygiene testing services. The laboratory also attains AIHA ELPAT (paint chips, soil, dust wipes, air) and AIHA IHPAT (asbestos) certifications.

Along with its AIHA EMLAP accreditation, Carle Place is also certified by the New York State Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (NYS ELAP) for drinking water (Laboratory ID: 11469). The laboratory offers Total Coliform / E. coli Screen for the presence or absence (Colilert®) and Entercocci Screen (Enterolert®).
