EMSL Analytical, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Phoenix, Arizona laboratory has received accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) Program for food microbiology testing services. Under A2LA, EMSL is in compliance with the International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 / AOAC along with additional program requirements in the biological field.

Increasing the number of certifications helps EMSL stay true to our commitment to our clients.”

Along with its new A2LA accreditation, EMSL Phoenix has a list of additional qualifications. The laboratory has been accepted into the Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP) by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). EMSL Phoenix is AIHA EMPAT approved for fungi analysis. Also, the laboratory has been accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for airborne asbestos fiber analysis (TEM) and bulk asbestos fiber analysis (PLM).

EMSL Phoenix is also accredited for PCM, PLM and TEM in the state of Colorado. In addition, the laboratory earned a certificate for bulk asbestos testing by the California Department of Public Health and the State of Hawaii Department of Health.
