Training Course

Cinnaminson,  NJ, November 14^th, 2017

Pennsylvania building inspectors, management planners, facility managers and environmental consultants involved with asbestos issues are invited to take part in EMSL’s Building Inspector Refresher Course. The half day course is being held on Monday, November 20th at EMSL Analytical, Inc.’s training center in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

EMSL is proud to be accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry to provide asbestos training classes. These courses are in compliance with the EPA TSCA Title II and the Pennsylvania Act #194 (Asbestos Occupations Accreditation and Certification Act). The course is also approved by the New York State (NYS) Department of Health.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the course will run from 8:00 until noon. Some of the topics to be covered include asbestos basics, health effects, respirators and protective clothing, legal considerations, liabilities, regulations, inspections reports, record keeping and more. The refresher course will end with a review followed by an examination.

This course is being taught by Stephen Winograd, Training Director at EMSL Analytical, Inc. Mr. Winograd has worked in the environmental health and safety/industrial hygiene industry since 1985, mostly in the Washington, DC area and in New York City. He has spent the past 21 years developing, conducting and overseeing various training classes in New York including asbestos, hazard communication, Hazwoper and lead based paint.

The PA Inspector Refresher Course costs $140 per student and will be held at EMSL’s corporate headquarters training center located at 200 Route 130 North in Cinnaminson, NJ.
