Tampa NVLAP Accreditation

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is proud to announce that its Tampa laboratory has been accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for bulk asbestos analysis by polarized light microscopy (PLM). EMSL’s Tampa laboratory (NVLAP Lab Code: 600215-0) is equipped and ready to accept these samples.

The laboratory is also accredited to perform mold testing on bulk, surface and spore trap samples by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). Tampa is now the fifth EMSL laboratory in the state of Florida to hold NVLAP accreditation for PLM bulk asbestos analysis.

Under the NVLAP and A2LA programs, EMSL Tampa is in accordance with International Standard ISO/IEC 17025 and the 2009 TNI Standard. These certifications demonstrate technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system as well as the ability to perform United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) methods.
