Introduction EMSL Analytical, Inc. is hosting its Mold, IAQ and Industrial Hygiene Workshop this March at its corporate headquarters located in the greater Philadelphia area.

Cinnaminson, NJ,  February 21st , 2019

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is hosting a Mold, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Industrial Hygiene Sampling Workshop on Thursday, March 28th at its corporate headquarters located in the greater Philadelphia area. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM followed by the training, which will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. EMSL invites industry professionals involved in IAQ issues to join our leading experts in a full-day of learning.

Many indoor air quality concerns related to mold and moisture can have an impact on people’s health. This workshop will benefit environmental consultants, home inspectors, cleaning and maintenance professionals, restoration professionals, property managers, facility managers, industrial hygienists and building owners. The beginning half of the workshop will consist of an introduction to fungal ecology, sampling for mold through direct examination, viable samples and PCR, report interpretation, indoor allergen sampling and Legionella.

The session will be followed by lunch provided by EMSL and a lab tour, which provides attendees with a behind-the-scenes view of our laboratory’s daily operation and the opportunity to speak with our dedicated laboratory professionals. The second half of the workshop will include topics related to investigative equipment, the introduction to industrial hygiene, planning strategies and equipment selection, sampling with sorbent tubes, passive badges, respirable dust (cyclone sampling and PPI’s), TO-15 and NADCA, PCB and asbestos sampling.
