EMSL Canada, Inc. is offering a NIOSH 582 Equivalency Course that will be held from May 21
st through May 24
th, 2019. Registration begins at 8:30 AM followed by the training which will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
Our NIOSH 582 Equivalency Course will cover asbestos regulations, phase contrast microscopy (PCM) and the NIOSH 7400 Method. This training will also provide in-depth sampling information such as sample collection, receiving, handling, preparation, analysis and reporting.
At the end of the course, a written exam measures the student’s level of technical understanding. Those who successfully complete the written exam (passing grade of 80% or better) and attend all training sessions will be eligible to receive a NIOSH 582 Equivalency certificate.

This course costs $1,250 (CAD) for students that will be bringing their own microscope and $1,450 (CAD) per student who are not providing their own microscope. Our NIOSH 582 Equivalency Course will be held at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre on 200 Coventry Road in Ottawa, Ontario.
