EMSL Canada, Inc. is hosting a “Microbial Investigations: Sampling and Data Interpretation Workshop” on Wednesday, January 29
, 2020 at the Corporate Event Centre at CHSI in Mississauga, Ontario. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM followed by the training which will run from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Sneha Panchal, M.Sc., RMCCM, EMSL Toronto’s Laboratory Director, will be instructing this course. The morning session will open with a general overview of mould testing, sampling guidelines, types of samples and result interpretation. Information on direct exams, culture samples, PCR testing and ERMI will be provided, followed by a discussion about mould vs. wood rot on building materials. The afternoon session will conclude with topics on allergen and endotoxin testing, sewage bacteria,
Legionella and healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
