Introduction EMSL Analytical offers industrial hygiene, environmental, infection control, and material testing services, sampling supplies, test kits, monitoring instruments, building inspection tools, and personal protective equipment to identify hazards.

Cinnaminson, New Jersey, September 8, 2025

Each September, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recognizes National Preparedness Month (NPM) to encourage individuals, businesses, and communities across the country to take proactive steps in preparing for potential emergencies.

Emergencies can take many forms, ranging from natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and earthquakes, to health crises like pandemics, and even human-caused or technology-related incidents including accidents, terrorism, power outages, or equipment failures. For property owners and facility managers, having the right tools and resources in place is critical to maintaining safe and resilient operations.

“Preparedness for businesses and institutions often means planning for multiple scenarios,” said Joe Frasca, Senior Vice President of Marketing at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “This can involve access to reliable testing services, sampling supplies, monitoring instruments, building inspection tools, and personal protective equipment. These resources are essential in assessing potential hazards after a disaster, whether they are chemical, radiological, or biological in nature. As an ongoing supporter of National Preparedness Month, EMSL is committed to helping property owners, facility managers, and institutions strengthen their readiness year-round.”

With accredited laboratories across North America, EMSL Analytical provides comprehensive industrial hygiene, environmental, infection control, and material testing services. Their extensive network also offers test kits, sampling supplies, inspection tools, and other resources to help organizations identify and mitigate exposure risks.
