Lead Testing Services

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced a voluntary nationwide recall of certain lots of an herbal arthritis supplement sold in capsule form after testing revealed dangerously elevated levels of lead, up to 11,100 parts per million, far exceeding allowable limits.

According to the FDA, sustained exposure to elevated lead levels may cause serious health effects, including cognitive impairment, gastrointestinal distress, neurological damage, anemia, reproductive issues, and, in severe cases, seizures, coma, or death. The recall was issued to protect public health and prevent further consumer exposure.
