Title National Healthy Homes Month 2026 and the Importance of Indoor Environmental Quality
Introduction EMSL Analytical supports the April campaign that raises awareness about creating safer, healthier living environments.

Cinnaminson, New Jersey, April 2, 2026

EMSL Analytical, Inc., a leading provider of indoor environmental quality (IEQ) testing laboratory services, sampling supplies, test kits, building inspection tools, air monitoring instruments, and personal protective equipment, is recognizing National Healthy Homes Month (NHHM) this April and encouraging homeowners, property managers, and building professionals to take proactive steps to identify and mitigate environmental hazards that can impact occupant health.

National Healthy Homes Month, promoted by the National Center for Healthy Housing and partners across the country, is an annual awareness campaign designed to help people understand the connection between housing conditions and health and to inspire actions that create safer, healthier living environments.

Housing and public health experts note that Americans spend nearly 90% of their time indoors, making IEQ a critical factor in overall health and wellbeing. Potential hazards found in homes can include mold, radon, lead-based paint, asbestos, carbon monoxide, pest infestations, and moisture problems, to name a few. These conditions have been linked to a variety of health issues, including respiratory illnesses, injuries, cancer, and lead poisoning.

“National Healthy Homes Month is an important reminder that the places where we live can directly impact our health,” said Joe Frasca, Senior Vice President of Marketing at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “Identifying environmental hazards through proper testing and inspections is a critical step in creating healthier homes for families and communities.”

EMSL Analytical, Inc. supports the goals of National Healthy Homes Month by providing laboratory testing and environmental monitoring solutions for a wide range of residential hazards. The company’s network of laboratories analyzes samples for contaminants such as mold, bacteria, lead, asbestos, radon, combustion gases, and other indoor air pollutants. EMSL also offers sampling supplies, inspection equipment, and air monitoring instruments used by environmental professionals, home inspectors, and remediation contractors.

In addition, EMSL provides easy-to-use test kits and technical resources designed to help property owners and occupants understand indoor environmental risks and take steps to improve indoor air quality and overall housing conditions.
