EMSL Analytical, Inc. is managing the ever evolving health and business risks associated with the global emergency 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We established our below contingency plan to support US and Canada’s mounting response to this global health emergency and to support our customers, labs, employees and the communities where we operate. EMSL Analytical, Inc. is an Essential Bussiness and remains open at this time.
As a laboratory that provides testing services with a responsibility to deliver data to end users that are making critical decisions for regulatory and public health needs, EMSL is considered an ‘essential business’ and will remain open.
Health and Safety of Employees
At EMSL Analytical, Inc. the number one priority is the health and safety of our employees and customers. Ensuring this priority EMSL has followed CDC guidelines for business travel restrictions, working remotely (for employees who have the ability), following precautionary hand washing, hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial cleaning as well as respiratory etiquette throughout its offices, and information campaigns to educate employees about prevention of the transmission of the coronavirus.
In an effort to protect our on-site employees from COVID-2019 exposure, we ask our customers to consider using our local drop-boxes, Fed-Ex, or mail as an alternative to walking into the laboratory building, so as to minimize unnecessary personal contact. If you do need to come into the lab in-person, please follow the recommended CDC guidelines of regular hand-washing and caution in adhering to the recommended personal space recommendations. Finally, if you are experiencing any symptoms of the COVID-2019 virus, please utilize only the EMSL drop boxes, our pre-paid Fed-Ex labels, other mail carrier service, or you may arrange directly with the local laboratory staff to drop samples outside of the door for our team to pick up immediately.
EMSL handles thousands of samples per day in labs all over the U.S. and Canada. Keeping our operations running is critical for our valued customers. We have long recognized the potential risks associated with service interruptions such as weather emergencies and health crisis like COVID-19 affecting customer obligations. There may be delays in service, or certain laboratory locations that will have to close entirely. In those circumstances, we will do our best to communicate every step of the way, and will be relying on our network of 47 laboratories to collaborate and make every effort to meet your desired turn-around-times*.
EMSL Analytical, Inc. continues to receive updates from national and local authorities, including the CDC and WHO for developments in the United States and Canada.
