Project Experience: Food Contamination Testing

A client consumed a fast-food meal and felt sick. A colonoscopy procedure revealed metal fragments present in the colon. Metal fragments were also found in the food. EMSL received from the client metal pieces removed from the colon and metal pieces removed from the food to determine if they have a common source.  Through laboratory analysis we revealed that the elemental composition of the two sets of sample was indeed identical.
