Effective March 1, 2007, all electronic information products (as defined by the Ministry of Information Industry of China) destined for China’s domestic markets will have to be tested, labeled, and certified per China’s RoHS law (so-named after the similar EU RoHS directive which went into effect in 2006). EMSL helps companies which sell products to EU countries and/or China by testing their products for compliance to these laws, and by providing compliance certificate and consulting services in the path towards achieving such compliances.
- EU RoHS Compliance Testing: Hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
- CHINA RoHS Compliance Testing: Per Management Methods for Controlling Pollution by Electronic Information Products, and per Testing Methods for Regulated Substance in Electronic Information Products. Report and certificates can be issued in either English or Chinese.
Instrumentation:
Inductively-coupled plasma Atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), gas chromatography / mass spectrometry (GC/MS), wavelength-dispersive X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry (WD-XRF), ion chromatography (IC), cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry (CVAA), graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAA).
