Biography |
Dr. Dobranic is an accomplished microbiologist with over 20 years of experience. He has presented his research at national and international conferences. Dr. Dobranic is the Vice President of Microbiology & Life Sciences for EMSL Analytical, Inc. and has presented microbial issues at over 60 national speaking engagements and has several industry-related articles published in trade magazines. Dr. Dobranic appeared in a production of the Oprah Winfrey show as an expert on bacteria and indoor allergens.
Dr. Dobranic is currently a member of ASTM International, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (Past-chair of the Biosafety and Environmental Microbiology Committee), Past-member of AIHA’s LQAP Analytical Accreditation Board and Mold Task Force, and A2LA’s Accreditation Council. He is the Chapter Director of the local Houston IAQA chapter and serves on boards for the ACAC and EIA. |

Biography |
Diane Miskowski, MPH, has her Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University-Cook College in Environmental Science with a focus on Environmental Microbiology and a Master of Public Health degree in Environmental Health from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. She has over 40 years’ experience in the areas of Microbiology, Laboratory Management, and Industrial Hygiene with a focus on aerobiology and exposure to pathogens. Diane has worked as an Industrial Hygienist with OSHA, Temple University, and several consulting firms focusing on workplace exposure to bacterial pathogens and fungi.
She was Co-Chair on the Monitoring Committee for the Centers of Disease Control Model Aquatic Health Code Steering Committee to develop microbiological monitoring guidelines for recreational water features such as water parks and water sprays. She has extensive experience on the monitoring and remediation of Legionella, biofilm and sewage contamination. She has presented and published on numerous topics including Legionella, Bacteroides, Environmental Mycology, and Sampling Strategies for Microbiological Assessments. |
